We have been discussing with our clients various approaches to optimize energize solutions. Some of these are large institutions like college campuses, and others are larger users of energy from many different places.
One of the items that we look at is saving energy through energy conservation. Energy conservation is the primary focus for energy saving for all of our clients. Energy conservation is the major energy saving for your clients too.
Other areas of energy savings can be brought together in the various systems too. Together we can look at higher efficiency HVAC and lighting systems. Other green systems such as geothermal, biofuels, Combined Heat and Power (CHP), solar, wind and the like have a place as long as they are implemented in a balanced manner. Clearly there is a place for all energy resources to achieve energy independence.
On another note we have discussed with one of our clients the improvement of energy efficiency through transportation systems, including buses, scheduling and reaching out over any period of time. This is a major opportunity for energy saving and reduction. This includes the use of light rail and efficient transportation systems, city to city, town to town. Consider the opportunities in reducing fuel switching and having commuting services for regional transportation.
